Zipporah Neuman, LCSW-C strives to bring an effective blend of experience, expertise, clarity, concern and action to the therapy process in order to maximize outcomes and provide genuine healing and wholeness to individuals, marriages and families.

 

Zipporah completed her graduate studies at the University of Maryland School of Social Work and is a licensed clinical worker in the state of Maryland. Throughout graduate school, Zipporah interned at Sheppard Pratt Health System at the Sullivan Day Hospital as well as the Maryland Counseling Network providing therapy to children and adults with a wide array of disorders. Following her training, Zipporah worked as a therapist at Jewish Community Services. Recently, she has opened her private practice, the Neuman Therapy Group.

 

Zipporah specializes in working with women, adolescents, teens and adults. She strives to create a safe and nurturing atmosphere in which individuals can be supported in their efforts to change and grow as well as become reconnected to their strengths and dreams. Her approach enables individuals to gain meaningful insight into issues of self-reflection and its interplay with an individual’s surroundings. She works to educate and support her patients to improve their social and emotional functioning through a broad range of techniques and her expertise in emotional wellbeing. Zipporah is fiercely passionate about helping individuals and families create more healthy, successful, and meaningful lives. Specialty areas include anxiety, depression, ADHD, and eating disorders as well as academic, social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.

 

Difficult times and unexpected life changes happen. Hurt, stress, grief, depression and anxiety are often a result.
